The past few days have been a little ‘grey’ to say the least, so I thought i’d share with you a blog hop I’m taking part in that hopefully will brighten your days and remind you of the better days to come!
Firstly let me tell you what a blog hop is!
A group of crafters have all made there own Spring themed card and then posted them on their Blog. If you follow the links at the end of my blog, then you can ‘hop’ across to another blog to see their card, and then the next persons and so on.
Hope you’ll all take a peak at what others have done.
My card is made using Balmy Blue, Daffodil Yellow (how appropriate!!) with touches of Pumpkin Pie and Tranquil Tide (pearls on the butterflies) and although you can’t see in the photo, I used some Wink of Stella on the daffodil trumpets.
If you want to make the same, here are the ingredients;
Don’t forget to check out all the other people who’ve taken time to join this blog hop, by clicking on the links below
Strange title eh? Well Shelli Gardner is co-founder and chair of the board of directors of Stampin’ Up! and she has put together this lovely cardmaking kit, which is available to order from May 15th for a limited time only (while stocks last).
So, you ask, what is paper pumpkin?
Paper Pumpkin is the name given to a bespoke kit of card making products that complements current Stampin’ Up! products. In the US there is a monthly subscription to have these kits sent directly to you, but this hasn’t happened in the UK. And this kit is a one off for us at present, but who knows!
This kit contains ;
The kit also works well with a stampset available in the next annual catalogue
I am running a workshop based around this kit on Tuesday 4th June from 2-4pm.
The cost is £20 for a full kit for you to get at the workshop and make one of each card and take the rest home to play with yourself at the end , or why not go halves with a friend and pay £10 each and split the set?
Places are limited, so please reserve your spot soon
So, as I said on my last blog, I had a brilliant time at the Onstage event in Telford last weekend and as well as my ‘team’ swaps I also was given a few other general swaps (even tho I didn’t make any myself to give out).
The blue Gingham card is stunning! I need to work out what the card design is called and see if I can make my own version! This one was made by Gill Moore
I was also given this lovely notebook and pen holder from Zoe as a thank you gift. Thank you Zoe!!
Do you love the very on trend Rose Gold colour? If so, you will adore this limited time offering from Stampin’ Up!
This amazing Medley of products is only available from the 1st May, while stocks last.
The set includes;
Here are some ideas of what you can make with the set.
So, what a lovely weekend I’ve just had. Two nights in a lovely B&B just outside Telford, a fleeting visit to Ironbridge (never been before but must go back again!) and to top it off a day with almost 600 like minded Stampers at the Stampin’ Up convention at the International centre in Telford.
It was a great day involving networking with people from all over the country (and some from abroad), looking at the next catalogue (due out June 4th) and seeing demonstrations using of several of the new stamp sets that will feature. It was a fun packed day and it was great to be able to put faces and names to people I usually only see on social media sites!
I am part of Zoe Tant’s Tantalizing stampers team, and 10 of us who attended the On Stage event made cards to swap between us. It is a fab way of seeing someone else’s card ideas!
Thought you might like to look at some of the team swaps I received this weekend.
Over the next few days I will show you a few other bits and pieces I got at the event.
For now, Happy Stamping!
The twice yearly Stampin Up! convention was on, on April 13th and as usual I took part in the Tantalizing Stampers group swap.
This is where we make a card for everyone participating, swap cards whilst there and bring home lots of cards with other peoples ideas! Great for those days when your mind goes blank!
So for my swap, I used the fabulous Flamingo Stampset and made a ‘pocket card, with a little message on. Hope everyone liked it!
And this was the what my swap looked like…….

Wouldn’t it be lovely to wake up every morning to the sound of the sea lapping against rocks right outside your window. I know I would be in my element, with the wildlife on offer and the peaceful sounds the sea evokes.
This lovely Stamp set is one of the ‘free’ items available until the end of March with a minimum spend of £45.
I used predominantly Gray Granite when making this card…..ink, card stock and ribbon (have I mentioned before how I love that all Stampin’Up products co ordinate so beautifully?)
I’ve also used the Stitched rectangle framelits from the Spring Summer catalogue to give some interest and angles around the subject.
I’ve listed below all the products used, but if you want to know more contact me (button at top of page) or follow this link to get to my shop
