Earlier in the summer, I ran a workshop using the lovely Hand-Penned Petals Memories & More card pack. If you haven’t seen or used memory & More packs, they are great for some quick and easy cards as well as for using for scrapbooking and using in the scrap book pockets – a quick and easy way to scrapbook!
You get so much…
50 printed card elements – 36 3”x4”, and 14 4”x6”.
4 sheets of stickers
And then you can get co-ordinating cards and envelopes;
You get 20 cards and co ordinating envelopes in this pack
Anyhow, we had lots of fun and made our own cards using the supplies from these kits.
Here is a selection of some of the cards, and I still have loads more cards left over so can make plenty more!
Memories and More card packs were originally designed as an easy way to scrap book….Album, pre made photo pockets, and a variety of card packs to individualise as you wish. This is a great way of recording those precious memories, be it from a new arrival, a holiday or just for the fun of it. Below are some of what is available right now. Click on any of them to be taken straight to my shop!
Would you like some pretty ribbon to add to your stash?
I am offering a 1 metre ribbon share… that’s 1 metre of all the ribbons from the July to December Mini Catalogue, so 9 metres in total for just £7.40 excluding postage.
A couple of weeks ago, a lovely lady called Zoe (Tantalizing Stampers) demonstrated to an online group of crafters, a fabulous folder to put your homemade cards in, which we all agreed would make a nice gift, particularly when people are not getting out as much.
So following her tutorial, I decided to use up some retired DSP (designer series papers), and make a fully co-ordinating set for a friend.
This is what I made;
I made it along with my online crafters this week in our weekly Craft and Chat, and it was lovely to see what you can make to use up all that paper you’ve been hoarding!
Here’s the instructions
To make the folder to put your cards in, you will need;
A4 sheet of card
Co ordinating papers measuring 12.6 x 15.5cm – 2 pieces for inside, 2 pieces for outside
co ordinating paper 1.6×15.5cm for spine (use 2 pieces if you want to cover both inside and outside spine)
Layer 9.0cm x 13.5cm
Card to stamp on 8.5 x 13cm
Ribbon
Score the card on the long edge at 3.5 and 4.5cm.
Rotate and score 13.8cm from EACH end
With the card landscape and the score lines at the bottom, cut up on either side of the vertical score lines and remove the complete central tab (all the way up to the 2nd score line).
Next measure from each of the bottom corners and mark at 3cm. Make a line from this point to the first score line and remove these corner pieces. It should end up looking like this;
Then its just a case of decorating with your pretty papers.
The first one of these that I made, I punched a hole to thread my ribbon through, but this time I wrapped ribbon all the way around before sticking my patterned papers on the outside and feel I got a much neater finish.
And lastly, I made 6 matching cards to place inside.
Hope you’ve enjoyed this little project and it encourages you to use some of that huge pile of papers up.
If you would like to join our weekly Craft and Chat (on Zoom), please use the contact me tab at the top of this page, and I will send you the details.
If there is anything you fancy, then pay for it at the ‘shop’ and then email me with equivalent value products from the new catalogue. You can opt to have the products delivered to yourself (old and new will be delivered together), or collect from me. The product you choose from the new catalogue will be FREE (excluding postage).

So, on Tuesday I hosted my first ever workshop. It wasn’t too complicated as we used the lovely ‘Hugs from Shelli’ Paper Pumpkin kit, which had everything you needed to make 12 lovely cards.
10 lovely ladies joined me at my home ( and they had the bonus of seeing my much talked about extension and new kitchen), and we had 2 hrs of crafting fun.
As I mentioned, the kit is designed to make 12 cards, 3 each of 4 designs, and on the afternoon that’s what we set out to make.
But as some had commented that the ‘notecard’ sizes were small compared to what they normally made, I displayed an assortment of cards that I had made, making the cards into larger cards, one of which was almost C5 size.
These are the designs that came with the kit…..
And these are some of the ones I made as alternatives.
Not sure if they will ever release a Paper Pumpkin Kit again in the UK, but I feel another workshop may be needed – whether they do or not!
What a fab time I had…. think everyone who attended did too.
Strange title eh? Well Shelli Gardner is co-founder and chair of the board of directors of Stampin’ Up! and she has put together this lovely cardmaking kit, which is available to order from May 15th for a limited time only (while stocks last).
So, you ask, what is paper pumpkin?
Paper Pumpkin is the name given to a bespoke kit of card making products that complements current Stampin’ Up! products. In the US there is a monthly subscription to have these kits sent directly to you, but this hasn’t happened in the UK. And this kit is a one off for us at present, but who knows!
This kit contains ;
An exclusive stamp set not available anywhere else
One Classic Stampin’ Spot® from our Classic ink collection
Paper and crafting materials to create 12 cards (3 cards of 4 unique designs)
12 exclusive, coordinating envelopes
Adhesives and embellishments for all 12 cards
The kit also works well with a stampset available in the next annual catalogue
I am running a workshop based around this kit on Tuesday 4th June from 2-4pm.
The cost is £20 for a full kit for you to get at the workshop and make one of each card and take the rest home to play with yourself at the end , or why not go halves with a friend and pay £10 each and split the set?
Places are limited, so please reserve your spot soon
