Online workshop

Yesterday, I pushed myself further out of my comfort zone and did my first of 4 planned online workshops. I was joined by 6 lovely crafters for a ‘facebook live’ session, working with me to make up two project kits that I had previously posted out to them. I wasn’t too sure how well it would work, but using Facebook Live meant that the video was available afterwards for those who wanted to ‘make’ in their own time.

All projects over the 4 weeks use the Graces Garden Stampset, so all participating had purchased this. I used the mini pizza boxes for the first project, and the lovely Garden Lane Designer series papers, and supplied pre cut shapes from the co ordinating die set. I was worried that stamping onto an already cut shape might prove difficult, but most seemed to manage fine, but there was spare card to use incase of mess ups!

The sentiment was a mix of 2 that are in the stamp set, carefully ‘merged’ by using masking tape.

The second project was a card, again using the Garden Lane papers. This time we carefully removed the bottom part of the gate arch to make a solid piece to stamp the greeting on, before placing the die cut gate over.

The flowers were stamped onto the pre cut shape, coloured with the medium of our choice (I used water colour pencils for mine) and glued next to the gate after layering the paper and daffodil yellow card.

If lockdown continues, I am planning on doing more online workshops. If you are interested…contact me

Happy New Year

I hope you all had a fabulous, fun packed, crafty Christmas and have lots of crafting goodies to play with in the New Year!

I’m starting to think that my family believe I have more than enough crafting stash, coz the only crafty item I got thgis year was the Stampin Up Gift bag Punch Board, and after lots of research on Pinterest and YouTube, I cant wait for a few moments to play with this new toy and see what I can do with it ……no, its not just to make gift bags!

So far I’ve only made one little bag, and I got the patterned paper on its side, but hey…we all have to learn! (and yes, its NOT Stampin Up paper!)

Pop up Santa and friends

Hi all,

Just had another awesome Coffee and a Card at The Mallard, Westwood Lakes.  I appreciate that the times are not great (now moved to 12 til 1), due to being over lunch time, but I’m sure those who are starving after can either indulge in some gorgeous cake at the Mallard or grab lunch in the Fishermans Rest cafe!

Todays make was a special request, and it was far more involved than I would normally do for Coffee and a Card, but everyone one did a fabulous job and took home a beautiful pop up Santa card.

Product List

The Dsp used was a couple of years old and although there are some gorgeous DSP this year, I wanted the small print whimsical type papers.  There is paper to match the Santas Workshop Suite but I dont have it….Yes you read correct…there is something Stampin Up that I don’t have!!!

Dont forget the Black Friday Sale is still on until Wednesday 28th November, so get your orders in quick so you dont miss out.

Happy Crafting xx

Open Stepper Card

This morning I watched a video tutorial of an open stepper card, which prompted me to ‘have a go’.  The tutorial was in inches, but I prefer to use cm’s  and although some of the measurements were converted, not all of them were.  For starters the card base was not a half A4, so as I don’t like wasting little bits from the edges, I have adapted it to metric, thus using half an UK A4  sheet to make it.

And this is the result!

7C3BA101-CE9B-419C-A533-6B6E0E4A191DI used Thick whisper white for the card base as this is nice and sturdy, and the discontinued (from the end of May) Elegant Eggplant card stock and ink.  The black and white DSP (Designer Series Paper) is from The Petal Passion series (also discontinued from end of May).

The Yellow flowers are die cut in Daffodil Delight with Garden Green stems, both from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits and the sentiment and stamped flowers are from the Beautiful Bouquet Stampset.   The ovals are die cut, but in this instance not with Stampin’ Up! product (as I have yet to buy them).

Bank Holiday Mondays Coffee and a Card will involve making this card.  If you fancy coming along, then please do…. The Mallard, Westwood Lakes, Boston UK!  (the original Boston!).

Thanks to Jan B Cards for the idea.

Cant make it?  If you would like the measurements, please contact me
